Company history

The beginnings of Rotometal date back to 2006 when the company was established by Joachim Setnik, whose 27 year-long experience in printing industry facilitated dynamic development of the company and initiated a streak of success.

Currently Rotometal  employs 150 highly qualified employees working in three shifts on 5000 m2 of manufacturing and office space.

Initially, the company focused mainly on providing external services in the area of machining: CNC turning, CNC milling, grinding on modern CNC machines.  Later in order to meet the customer’s requirements we expanded our service profile to include production of gear wheels and heat treatment.

On October 1st, 2008 the company signed a contract with Gerhardt, a leading manufacturer of tools for printing industry based in Denmark. Since then we started manufacturing of magnetic cylinders, printing cylinders, anvils, rotary cutting units as well as numerous other tools used in the printing business.

Maintaining the highest quality of offered products allowed us to compete with the world’s largest suppliers of printing and converting equipment. When fulfilling the orders, we always focus on utmost care and accuracy, supported with promptness and precision. Extensively developed machinery park and good organization of work let us react promptly to customer’s needs and expectations.

On April 25th, 2017 the shareholders at Rotometal sold 50% of their shares to Highlander Partners, a private equity firm investing in North America and Central Europe. We strongly believe this merger will lead to rapid development and achieve the status of the leader in the area of rotary tooling.

On March 1st, 2018 we have appointed a new President/CEO at Rotometal. Mr. Artur Wojciechowski has extensive experience gained in managing specialty manufacturing companies with CNC machining technology.

We have a reason to believe that Rotometal is currently the largest manufacturer of magnetic and printing rollers on the European market.
